For the last 25 years I have been working in the exhibition and events world. Passionate about food and drink and always planning my next meal, I have always followed the restaurant and dining scene both here and abroad.
As an enthusiastic home cook, happiest cooking for family and friends, I wanted to put my passion to use and volunteered at my local homeless shelter. For the next five years I cooked with a friend every week using ingredients that had been kindly donated, giving me a taste for the commercial kitchen. Since then I have been involved with special needs adults running a weekly cookery club teaching basic cookery skills, healthy eating and having fun, in association with St Albans Special Olympics.
2016/17 and I'm off to college for the most fantastic year of cooking, study and new friendships, achieving the highest grade City & Guild VRQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery
